Autumn is a time of reaping the harvest of all the seeds we’ve planted, both literally, and for our spiritual growth.
In the Hebrew Calendar the holiday of Sukkot contains nature-based rituals and is known as a time of unabashed joy. It is also a time to honor our ancestors, especially the Matriarchs.
Join us as we celebrate this season of happiness .... and investigate and amplify the wisdom of the Hebrew matriarchs, and the wisdom of the Eternal Feminine that they carry.
In this welcoming workshop for people of all faiths and backgrounds, we will:
Draw on traditions including Mesopotamian goddess and priestess wisdom that served as a foundation of the religions of the Sarah, Abraham, and Hagar traditions.
Discover sacred syllables and word origins that will spark surprising connections and sources of knowledge.
Drum, chant, dream, and write together to weave our own inner tents of wisdom and joy, peace and shelter.
In this two-hour workshop, you will also:
-
Investigate the theme of Sukkoth including what you are harvesting in this season, and how you can weave your own tent of spiritual shelter and peace.
-
Discover the Hebrew Matriarchs, Sarah, Rebeccah, Rachel, and Leah as priestesses who live in you, too!
-
Experience the power of Hebrew chant to connect with and tap into the Matriarchs' energetic frequency.
- Move to the beat and rhythm of the hand drum, one of the world's oldest instruments and common in the Matriarchs' homeland, Mesopotamia.
-
Reflect using journaling and poetic prompts to discern what these archetypes mean to you, and how you can spread them as a tent of shelter all year long.
-
Experience a guided dream-meditation to discover your own inner tent of joy.
-
Journal on the prompt: As Sukkot ends, this Mishkan/Holy tabernacle/Tent can travel with/within you. What will you weave your tent from, what is sheltered there, where will you pitch your tent?
- Learn a simple dream incubation techniques to continue your journey into these themes throughout the seasons.
