A LIVE embodied workshop on
Sunday, 19 January 2025

(and replay available on demand)
In Early Mesopotamia, the "Shepherd King" was one of the most erotic masculine images -- calling the feminine into deep surrender to pure pleasure.
Most of us are familiar with Psalm 23, the Shepherd Psalm. If you have had any connection to a synagogue or a church, you have probably heard this psalm recited. Yet, did you realize that there is Mesopotamian Goddess wisdom embedded in this psalm … guiding us deeper into our innate sensuality?
Come journey into your primal feminine.
“The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures ..." Psalm 23:1-2a
Shlama! I'm Lisa Moriah ... shamanic priestess, somatic sound healer and coach following an ancient-future path.
Join me for an embodiment workshop blending wisdom from the Hebrew Bible with Sumerian poetry and embodied practices for EROS.
One of the great journeys of my life has been healing my relationship with Divine Masculine energy, and the masculine in all its forms--including men, money, mission, structure, law, and order. Re-encountering Goddess in the pages of the Bible, and witnessing Her integration with the Masculine, has been a key part of opening myself to loving penetration.
As a Mesopotamian priestess being the "wife" of the Divine Masculine is part of my calling and commitment. Our feminine reading of Psalm 23, and the shamanic "Psalm Magic" we'll do together to anchor that wisdom in our bodies comes straight from my daily practice.
In "Goddess & The Shepherd," you will ...
- Understand sacred marriage theology & practice in early Mesopotamia, and how the Hebrew Bible reflects it
- Recognize how pain and resistance to the masculine, the havoc it causes and how it can be safely released
- Re-read every line of Psalm 23 through the eyes of a fully-awakened Goddess dripping with eros
- Be able to practice Psalm Magic ... using the lines of this powerful Psalm in English and Hebrew to release old masculine wounding and open up safely
- Experience the power and magic of Sumerian erotic poetry celebrating the union of the Shepherd King and the Goddess
- Chant in Hebrew, Akkadian and Sumerian to help recalibrate your body toward softening and surrender
- Experiment with gentle drum and movement medicine to further awaken eros and pleasure
"Inanna spoke:
—I bathed for the wild bull,
I bathed for the shepherd Dumuzi,
I perfumed my sides with ointment,
I coated my mouth with sweet-smelling amber,
I painted my eyes with kohl.
He shaped my loins with his fair hands.
The shepherd Dumuzi filled my lap with cream and milk ..."
~ The Courtship of Inanna, c. 2800 BCE
