Sacred sounds can change us from the inside out.
Come explore the historical, traditional and medicinal power of this simple practice.
Many of us experienced sacred chant growing up in a synagogue, church or cathedral ... yet can this practice actually transform us?
From my personal experience, my clients' testimonials, and my exploration (so far) in Jewish tradition, I believe that it does.
If we return to the shamanic consciousness of our Hebrew ancestors, we discover a legacy of sound therapy, packaged in religious wrapping, that offers potent cosmic medicine across religious lines.
Come explore the fascinating history, science and medicine of chant--and learn how to design medicinal chant practices for yourself and others.
"Chant—when engaged with intention and commitment— has the capacity to alter the human body and consciousness, raising them both out of physical and emotional pain, into a place where yechida (the highest state of transcendent oneness and divine connection in Jewish tradition) is possible."

"Speech, we are now shown, is fundamental to the creation pro- cess. God speaks, using the waves of sound, and another kind of wave (light) comes into existence. The core building blocks of sound—vibration, frequency, resonance and entrainment—are all present in this verse. In this sense, B’resheet (Genesis) gives us a remarkably scientific explanation for creation, even if it comes nestled inside a mythological package. "
About the author
Lisa Moriah is a qadosha (lay priestess), shamanic practitioner, vibrational healer, artist, chantmaker, mystical linguist and soul sounds coach at School of Divine Radiance.
Growing up in a strict Christian household, she had no connection to Goddess or the Eternal Feminine ... until sexual dysfunction and a divorce brought her to a reckoning with religious trauma and its tangible impact in Her body.
Sacred chant and frame drum rhythms were two tools—both with extensive histories in Jewish tradition—that awakened her soul and heal her body. Lisa Moriah has since become passionate about sharing these often-overlooked forms of shamanic medicine with people of all backgrounds.
The book reflects her commitment to re-seeing Judaism and other biblically-oriented traditions as shamanic earth-based traditions. She also anchors hers study in mystical linguistics, a process of exploring biblical languages and their surrounding cultures to identify and re-activate the presence of Goddess.
Lisa Moriah's wider work explores the power inherent in sacred texts and forgotten feminine rituals ... rendering them both powerful agents of spiritual transformation. She is especially passionate about helping women reinvent their relationship with sacred text as a tool for healing religious trauma and its effects on their voice and vulva.
She initiates women into the hidden priestess wisdom of the matriarchs through Tent Keepers.
