The rose is an ancient symbol of eternal love, belovedness and sacred union.
While much teaching today focuses on Rose mysticism in the Christian or Sufi traditions ... Jewish mysticism offers an older lineage of Eternal Feminine wisdom inspired by שׁוֹשַׁנָּה shoshanah, the mystical rose.
During the month of Elul, the final of the sacred cycle, we prepare to return to our Source ... the love of God ... before the New Year. This is a perfect time to explore Jewish rose teachings about love and belovedness.
We will also engage in embodied practices that support the opening of heart and womb, deepening our capacity to receive, and healing our relationship with God (the Eternal Masculine) as Bridegroom, Lover and King.
